RTG is seeking a qualified Draftsperson with professional experience in preparing Civil Engineering Plans and Figures to support Design Studies and Construction Projects. The Draftsperson will work alongside RTG’s staff of Engineers and Project Managers towards the completion of Geotechnical, Waterfront, Structural, and Heavy Civil Construction Projects.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Exceptional knowledge of and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D;
  • Ability to perform and/or assist with Topographic and Bathymetric Surveys;
  • Sound knowledge of the Civil Engineering Discipline for which you will be drafting for;
  • Ability to follow specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings;
  • Ability to work effectively and proficiently with the Project Team;
  • Ability to identify and communicate potential design problems with the Project Team;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Ability to multitask;
  • Ability to meet project deadlines and budgets; and
  • Effective problem-solving skills;
  • Proficient with MS Office.


  • Adhering to and expanding RTG’s current CAD Standards;
  • Adapting to new advancements with CAD software;
  • Performing and/or assisting with Topographic and Bathymetric Surveys;
  • Following the direction of Engineers and Project Managers;
  • Preparing Project Plans for permitting, bidding, and construction;
  • Preparing Figures to support Engineering Studies and Reports;
  • Preparing Figures to support Proposals;
  • Completing material quantity take-offs for estimating construction costs; and
  • Supporting Engineers and Project Managers in preparing project deliverables.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (degree from a technical college is also acceptable); and
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Draftsperson in engineering, architecture, or a related discipline.


  • $50,000 to $65,000 annually.
