Description
Position Overview: Provide the necessary skills to install and maintain all machines and equipment used in the manufacturing areas in optimal working order. Strong focus on electromechanical and mechanical assembly.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Repairs existing machines and supports equipment as needed to keep production running
- Performs routine maintenance on machines based on TPM practices
- Orders replacement parts for all machines as needed and ensures level 1 parts are in stock for immediate needs
- Assists with the creation and maintenance of preventative maintenance program
- Assists the manufacturing engineers with setting up, modifying and disassembly of production lines
- Supports all lines as requested by line leaders, supervisors or managers to keep the lines running at full capability
- Assist with the design and creation of custom equipment and assembly fixtures
- Provides support to the facilities manager when requested
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of standard work
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics for trouble shooting equipment
- Assist in layout, building and maintaining assembly lines and assembly cells
- Assist in identifying and implementing new equipment
- Assist in repair on production equipment as needed
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints a plus
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry and power tools
- Electrical/electronic knowledge; hands-on experience on various assembly lines
- Machine shop experience
- MS-Office Experience
- 1 + years’ experience on various assembly lines
Education and Experience:
- Should possess or be working toward one of the following or similar college degree or certificate programs ASEE, ASIE, ASME, or technical certificate.
