Supfina Machine Company, based in North Kingston, RI, has opened up a new entry level position for a Shop Assistant for the shop floor, assisting the mechanical and electrical assemblers as well as shipping and many other areas.  The position is full-time, with a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday.  Supfina offers its employees a strong benefits package including a 4% company match in the 401k Plan, effective from the date of hire and which the employee is immediately vested.

The rate of pay will be $14/hour.

This new position has been created for an entry level candidate who is willing to fill whatever need there is for assistance on the shop floor.  The work could be as diverse as packaging and loading, completing some technical tasks, helping the materials department, driving to and from local vendors with parts, and making felt blocks along with other varied tasks.  It will provide lots of exposure to the assembly of the products that are being made, and should the successful candidate show any interest in learning more about how to do things, then Supfina will support training and developing the candidate over time.

A good work ethic, common sense and being able to work well with others are characteristics that will help with this position.

A basic education with a high school degree or GED is required in addition to a clean driver’s license in order to be able to drive the company car.

The position will be full-time, non-exempt (paid hourly) with a 40 hour Monday through Friday work week; some overtime may be required during periods of unusually high demand.
