Supfina Machine Company is growing and transforming from a custom machine-tool builder into an engineering-solutions company that embraces the disruptive technologies that will drive future manufacturing.

Supfina is currently seeking Mechanical Assemblers to join its team of professionals in that department.  Precision mechanical assembly experience can be varied from a minimum of two years to 20 years plus!  Rate of pay will be determined by relatable experience and skills. Experience with machine tools assembly would definitely be considered a plus but it is not a requirement.

The positions are full-time, day shift, with a 40 hour Monday through Friday work week; some overtime is required during periods of unusually high demand.

Summary of work:  These positions will be responsible for precision mechanical assembly of custom machine tools.  The Mechanical Assemblers use a variety of tools and equipment to build individual components according to required specifications and assemble/align them to build a finished machine tool.

The more experienced Mechanical Assemblers can be given any assembly or repair tasks with the expectation that it can be completed with little or no instructions

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have related experience in precision mechanical assembly (machine tools assembly a plus)
  • Be able to read, interpret, and execute instructions based on engineering drawings, fluid schematics, sketches and written instructions
  • Be skilled in the proper and safe use of various hand, power, and specialty tools required for high-precision machine tool building/assembly
  • Be experienced in use of machining tools such as milling machines, surface grinders, and lathes
  • Be able to identify and, if possible, repair/modify faulty or out-of-spec components during the assembly process
  • Be able to provide own basic non-consumable mechanics hand tools (English and Metric)
  • Have experience using an Overhead Crane and/or have experience driving a forklift (this would be considered a plus)
  • Be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to quality and an attention to detail

Education requirement(s):

  • High School Degree or GED
  • Trade School or Apprenticeship a plus
