Job Summary

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is in the process of leveraging cloud-based enterprise applications to optimize our business operations.  As the Product Configuration Analyst you will support that objective by helping to transform how people work and generate business.  You will have a key role in the project team tasked with implementing Configure Price Quote (CPQ) tools integrated with our existing environment to help us do business faster and better. And you will work closely with our Sales, Product Marketing and IT teams to develop a robust CPQ system, including designing prototypes, building proof of concepts, CPQ launch training and on-going system management.

Role of the Product Configuration Analyst

  • Designs Configure Price Quote tools for the assigned product offerings
    • Manages and maintains offering content and workflows within the CPQ tool, including rules, product offering matrix, quotation creation, pricing and discounting process, as defined by Product Management
    • Provides training and support for the CPQ launch and on-going as required
    • Establishes strong relationships with internal customers including Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Product Management
    • Sets specific goals and objectives, plans for the length and difficulty of assignments, and breaks down large projects into smaller tasks/steps
    • Identifies complex problems and reviews related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
    • Provides high quality support to end users and drives user adoption across the organization
    • Coordinates and conducts training to ensure efficient implementation and adoption of CPQ via ongoing improvements through process and accountability


  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related technical discipline
  • 3-5 years of Finance and/or Business Analyst experience
  • Experience with project teams and best practices
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be a highly organized self-starter with a strong technical aptitude
  • Cooperative team player, trusted and supported by peers
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and simplify complex processes
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, including Sharepoint
  • Experience configuring in CPQ, CLM, or ERP systems with a focus on pricing, sales, and/or marketing to enhance application functionality and improve system efficiency preferred
  • Experience with CPQ products, including Big Machines, Big Machines Express, and/or Steelbrick preferred
  • Ability to understand linkages from front end CRM systems and back office ERP (SAP) systems preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience with and/or SFDC certification preferred
  • Ability to speak multiple languages preferred
