Purpose of Role:

To manage a line or area to the correct standard in terms of through put, technical compliance and agreed manning levels.  Using the correct materials at the correct specification for all production runs.  To assist the Supervisor as and when required.  To manage all operatives under their control.

 Role Requirements:

  • Ensure a safe work environment for employees. Report injuries, accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions to a Supervisor or Manager immediately.
  • As Line Leader, you will direct production line workers to maximize productivity and quality.
  • You will ensure your team is focused on producing products that meet the agreed cost, quality and time standards.

 Job Responsibilities:              

  • Deliver the daily production schedule to the agreed standard in the agreed time frame with the correct line manning levels.
  • Minimize excess production units on line by utilizing ‘count back’ methodology.
  • Plan and coordinate daily production activities with Production Supervisor.
  • Monitoring employee breaks and lunches to ensure compliance to Company policy.
  • Training and cross-training of production line employees to ensure Quality, Safety and Productivity and to prevent disruptions to daily operations.
  • Responsible for achieving target KPI performance expectations set by site.
  • Ensure production line employees fully comply with company GMP’s and Safety policies including use of Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Ensure product is produced accordingly to Customer specifications.


  • High level of numerical and written accuracy with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a small team of people
  • Confident and able to instruct/brief clearly and concisely
  • Willingness to up skill and progress with in the department
  • Previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment
