Purpose of Role:

To oversee the day to day activities of the warehouse team members, to ensure operations run seamlessly

 Role Requirements:

  • Always on ground to monitor and evaluate the performance of workers and ensure that work equipment is available.
  • Oversee the safety and productivity level of all workers.

 Job Responsibilities:              

  • Ensure that warehouse team members adhere to company policies, including Safety and Food Safety policies and regulations.
  • Oversee performance of team members, to make sure they work at top efficiency. Provide feedback to the team member and to the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager.
  • Ensure that team members follow their shifts diligently. Report any deviations to Supervisor/Manager.
  • Constantly inspect all work equipment to identify shortages and damages. Relate findings to Supervisor/Manager for quick resolution to enable smooth flow of operations.
  • Place order for new equipment as directed by management. Inspect them upon delivery to ensure that they are of good quality and in the right quantity.
  • Check all outgoing stocks to ensure that they are in good condition. Make sure that all documents are accurately signed for proper documentation.
  • Ensure that stock inventory is carried out in a timely manner and that it is in line with the stock balance.

Qualifications:

  • Good leadership and team skills to be able to work with others.
  • Numerical and written accuracy with attention to detail
  • Basic English language skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Strong organizational skills and deadline-oriented
  • Good knowledge of record keeping
