The manufacturing world is evolving, shouldn’t your career?  Supfina, a machine tool manufacturer and engineering solutions firm, has a rare opening for a CNC Operator/Programmer at our North Kingstown, RI facility in Quonset.

Have you worked extensively with multi-axis mills and lathes? Do you have a keen eye, and pick up on things other people overlook?  Have you been told by friends or family that you’ve got a strong attention to detail?  We want to hear from you!

So, you might be asking what your day will consist of…

  • You’ll primarily be responsible for programming and running our CNC machines, writing programs, and selecting correct material and tools.
  • Using that keen eye to inspect and guarantee quality parts before they are “shipped” out.

Let’s get more specific about what other tasks you’ll be engaging on in our fast-paced environment.

Program 5 axis mills using Autodesk Power Mill and Siemens ShopMill

  • Program NC-Lathe using Weiler HD TurnMill
  • Determine methods, tooling, feeds, speeds and all other necessary requirements necessary for efficient manufacturing of parts
  • Optimize the setup process and reduce overall setup time
  • Obtain and review tool drawings and models, fixture drawings and models, part prints and models, and associated documents to develop efficient CNC programs

As for the skills you bring to the table, here’s what we’re looking for:

  •  Able to understand complex geometry, drawing requirements and have strong CAM skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication
  • A detail-oriented, self-driven, motivated personality
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Savvy      computer skills (can learn programs quickly)
  • The ability to work independently as well as in the framework of a team

Educational and experience requirements are the following:

  •  High School Diploma
  • 1-2 years in machining or basic shop experience
  • Any previous experience with programming in any language would be helpful; training will be provided on this specific software.
